My Dragon Soul rant-ramble.
My opinions are my own. You’re welcome to disagree. I’m not trying to be a total bee-yotch, but there does come a time when the content becomes too easy. And admittedly, my own guild took a while to get Madness down. Do I believe whole-heartedly that we would have eventually gotten it down if the difficulty had remained the same as the 2nd nerf? Absolutely. I whole-heartedly believe any group of dedicated 10 or 25 raiders could have gotten the whole raid cleared with out any of the nerfs. It’s not just gear and skill, it’s practice- perseverance- and patience… that make you a progression player.

Weekend Recap 001
This past week I…
+ completed my first week of officially raiding with two guilds.
+ got my T13, 4 piece set bonus on my resto druid.
+ received 3 epic gems from the crystallized geodes.
+ still didn’t win any tier gear on my resto shaman.
+ was there when both guilds went 5/8 in 10M Dragon Soul.
+ died alot on Warmaster Blackhorn…
+ decided I hate that boss fight…
+ capped VP on all three of my 85’s.
+ started leveling mining, jewelcrafting and leatherworking on two of my alts.
+ created this spot on the web to tell a bunch of strangers how the week went.
So, yeah, pretty successful week. Then again, any week I have enough time to cap all three of my toons and the guilds progress… that’s a great week.
I was a little disheartened this week when neither guild progressed well on the gunship, but it’s a tough fight for 10M. There’s just not a lot of people around to absorb the onslaughts. However, onslaughts weren’t really the problem for either team… killing sappers on the other hand, big issue. Both teams are getting to the third wave of adds, but neither has seen the boss drop down off Goriana yet.
As for the Ultraxion fight, it’s actually very easy. You just have to have the DPS output and people clicking Heroic Will at the correct times.
Healer gem notes on Ultraxion:
+ If you are a resto shaman or druid… you want the RED gem.
+ Blue is nice for everyone though.
+ Although, holy paladins rock the blue gem.
+ The green gem sucks for the resto shamans and druids.
Eventually, I will do a post on how I manage my game time and real life, but let me just say that raiding 6 days a week is tough. Doable because I was still able to finish my holiday shopping, clean the apartment, spend time with the fiance and go see my best friend.
This week will be interesting because I am going to help my WoW buddy cap his toons too since he’ll be offline all week moving back home.
